Today’s review of the day is from Viewpoints member Hopeisrewarding – “From day one in August of 2009 that I went to Quicken for a loan, their staff and Representatives bent over backwards to make it happen. What this team did to get us our house and the closing on time was remarkable. I commend Quicken Loans and their team.
Once again in 2010 through unseen circumstances it became necessary to refinance my loan. Not knowing what step to take, It just so happened that I received a courtesy call from my Representative “Gerard Lemionet” about my first loan inquiring how everything was going. The timing could not have been better. I explained the situation to him and he immediately got the ball rolling. He worked very close with me and his help was very gratifing. There was no question to small or unimportant that he wasn’t willing to help. He is a people person. He cares and puts all his efforts forward for the customer. He is truly an asset to his company. I know now that my refinancing will go on smoothly. My peace of mind on this loan transaction has been a very valuable experience and I will highly recommend Quicken Loans and Gerard every chance I get.”

Today’s review of the day is from Epinions member steff6090 - “I was very skeptical when I received the letter in the mail saying that I might qualify for a mortgage balance reduction of at least $28,000, but the real surprise was when I actually got one for almost $200,000! I thought I was being scammed at first, I mean who has ever heard of such a drastic balance reduction? I tried not to get over excited. I also told several of my friends and co-workers what was happening and no one would believe me. Everyone that I worked with as well was so helpful and understanding (despite me asking the same questions over and over). Ali Paloni was the first person I had contact with and she suggested ways to raise my credit score so I could qualify. She also made arrangements for an appraiser to come out at no charge to me. Then my file went to Demetrus Stokes who helped me get all my paperwork in order and get me ready for closing. I finally received a call from the people who arrange the closings. They sent an agent to my home at my convenience to sign the papers. The agent was very friendly and stated that she had closed several loans for Quicken and has always had positive feedback. The best part of all is that I only owed $3.17 at closing. I have had several mortgages before with different companies but never experienced such a smooth process before. The whole thing happened so fast I am still in disbelief. Thanks again.”

Today’s review of the day is from Epinions member Fmotley’s - “I have refinanced my house 3 times now and Quicken was the easiest and closing cost were the least. I had my doubts after reading some reviews about hidden cost cause of low appraisal values. I had no issues with my house appraisal. The loan officer I worked with was, Stephen Mckanna, and he was a pleasure to work with. He answered all my questions, especially when I was thinking of backing out. Actually, it was the best loan experience I have had yet. Thanks Stephen. Now, if you are not comfortable with doing thinks over the phone and faxing information then maybe you should go through a local bank. But, if you want to get the lowest rate and save about $600 to $1000 on closing cost Quicken is the way to go.
My loan closed on Dec.7th,2009 and I started the process about a week before thanksgiving.
I was worried about the $500 deposit but it was deducted from the closing cost just like they said it would. Now most banks do not require a deposit but some where along the line after you lock in a rate and the loan process is started you are obligated to pay for services rendored like appraisal and title fees, if you decide not to proceed with a closing. All Quicken is doing is allow things to move quicker by requiring the $500 up front.”
